17. Third place?....awesome. I like beans in mine so I would not do too good.....most contest are only for the purist...meat and spices no "fillers"...no beans, no taters, he he he I add a little bit of tater flakes to get that subtle starch aspect....that's why chili and cornbread or crackers go so well together.....but I may try a contest one day, I have some ideas involving pit roasted tomatoes,onions and some select green chili peppers, and garlic ..all pre roasted under a pecan fire,....and go from there...riff
